When remodeling your home, the updated cabinetry becomes the focal point of your beautifully renovated kitchen or bathroom. Since these rooms tend to be high-traffic areas, general grime, spills, oily hands, dust and grease are common. Here are our recommended methods for cleaning and maintaining your cabinetry for a lifetime of use and satisfaction!
Interior Cabinet Cleaning Overview
For interior cabinet cleaning, simply wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid sponges or cloths made from abrasive fibers, we recommend using microfiber. To remove food or grease residue, wipe with a solution of mild dishwashing liquid and warm water, drying thoroughly. If a spill occurs, clean and dry immediately. Unattended spills can soak through laminate or wood surfaces and cause damage.
Exterior Cabinet Cleaning Overview
The finishing coat on your cabinets provides an exceptional resistance to foods, beverages, and other household agents. However, routine cleaning and care will ensure that they maintain their quality condition. To protect the outer surfaces of your cabinetry, we suggest cleaning them at least once a month. A solution of mild detergent and warm water can be used to remove dirt, dust, and grease. Dampen a clean, non-abrasive cloth with the solution and softly wipe the doors. Dry immediately.
Do not use steel wool, soap pads, or cleaners containing wax, bleach, ammonia, or abrasives. These may cause scratching, dulling, or discoloration to occur. Additionally, polishes containing silicon should not be used.
